The last part of living connected is “you got to be connected to God”! Now that might seem like a know brainier but in many of my conversation with Christians this is one area they seem to struggle in. The struggle is the time they put towards growing and maintain their relationship with Him. God never leaves us but we have a tendency to walk away from Him. Any healthy friendship always requires the ability if staying connected and both sides’ works towards it. God has come up big for us on the friendship side of things…He has come up big for us in a written love letter to us…and He has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit. There is no doubt that He has done and continues to do His part. The question is where does that leave us? What are we doing to hear from him? What are we doing to talk to Him…I’m not talking about some quick prayer before a quiz but real conversations with Him.
Psalm46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”
I Timothy 2:For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.
Proverbs 2:
1 My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. 2 Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. 3 Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. 4 Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. 5 Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7 He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. 8 He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him.
9 Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.
